Career Services works with area employers and NICC students to offer internships for credit. Internships can be taken in the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

Steps to Take:
1.
Complete the
Request for NICC Student Intern Form for each internship position you have available, and send it to
NICC Career Services.
2. Sign the
Business/Organization Internship Policies & Procedures Agreement and return it to NICC Career Services.
3. Review student application materials and decide if you want to conduct interviews. Select the student(s) you would like to complete your internship(s).
You may want to consider more than one candidate. (Students receiving multiple offers will select their top choice.)
4. Meet with the student intern to review his/her
Internship Goals & Learning Objectives Form. Approve this form by signing and dating it.
5. Meet via phone or in-person with staff from Career Services mid-way through the internship to evaluate the student’s performance.
6. During the last two weeks of the student’s internship, complete the
Student Intern Evaluation Form.
7. Review the Student Intern Evaluation Form with your intern. Both of you will sign and date this form and return to Career Services.
