NICC Student Employment Program
This part-time employment program may provide work opportunities for students who are not eligible for other types of financial aid.
Vocational Rehabilitation
This federal and state sponsored program provides counseling, medical services, and vocational training to help handicapped persons become employed. Referral assistance to a Vocational Rehabilitation Office is available.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
WIA can provide financial assistance to persons who are unemployed or underemployed and to ADC recipients who are in need of retraining to upgrade their skills. Applicants must meet WIA guidelines to be determined eligible. Referral assistance to a WIA office is available.
Veterans Assistance
NICC educational programs are approved by the Veterans Educational Unit of the Iowa Department of Education for the training of eligible persons under current GI Bill programs. Please see the Registrar for more information.
Additional Assistance
Students are encouraged to seek information on financial assistance in their own communities. Local service clubs, and national and state organizations may have help for you.
