Welcome to the TRiO Programs at Northeast Iowa Community College!
Two pre-college programs, TRiO Upward Bound Calmar & TRiO Upward Bound Peosta, and one college program, TRiO Student Support Services, comprise this division of NICC's Student Services department. Please browse the links on the left to learn more about our programs and participants.
The TRiO Programs are committed to providing access to postsecondary education to income qualifying and potential first generation college students. TRiO Upward Bound serves students beginning in 9th grade through the 12th grade. TRiO Student Support Services serves college students beginning their first year through graduation and transfer to a four-year institution.
Through services provided by TRiO, including academic assistance, advising, instruction, college planning and cultural activities, we aim to increase the number of individuals who obtain a four-year college degree.
