Coaching Authorization

This 55-hour class fulfills the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) requirements to apply for a coaching license, which is required to be legally employed as a coach of any interscholastic athletic activity in Iowa K-12 schools. Topics addressed in this hybrid-format class include coaching theory, ethics and legal responsibilities, human growth and development, structure and function of the human body, prevention and care of injuries, and CPR certification. Hybrid classes include face-to-face and online components of instruction and assignments.
