"What, if anything, about the way people are leading today needs to change in order for leaders to be successful in a complex, rapidly changing environment?" asked Dr. Brené Brown, a research professor at the University of Houston and five-time New York Times best-selling author. Brown spent several years researching leadership and organizational cultures. After interviewing 150 global C Suite executives, she wrote in her 2018 book Dare to Lead™, "There was one answer across the interviews: We need braver leaders and more courageous cultures."
Courage is teachable, observable and measurable. This Business Summit workshop provides an opportunity to develop the four skill sets of courage and how to operationalize empathy in your workplace. The instructor, Sabrina Moon, is one of Brown’s Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitators.

Keynote: The Skills of Daring Leadership
It takes daring to be an amazing leader, and our ability to be daring leaders will never be greater than our capacity for vulnerability. This is the foundation of Daring Leadership. Based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown, Daring Leadership is a collection of four skill sets that are 100% teachable, observable, and measurable. Through storytelling, this interactive keynote presentation will introduce the Dare to Lead™ method that includes 'rumbling with relational vulnerability', living into core values, braving trust and learning to rise. Are you ready to dare?
Workshop: Operationalizing Empathy
Empathy (noun). The ability to understand and share the feelings of another. We use the word frequently, but do we really know how to practice it? Let's explore the components of empathy – emotional literacy, values and integrity – and recognize/role play common barriers to empathy (empathic misses) that interfere with meaningful connection as a daring leader.
