American Heart Association

Northeast Iowa Community College was designated as an official training center for American Heart Association (AHA) Emergency Cardiovascular Care training in 1998. The facility hosts BLS, ACLS and PALS Provider and Instructor courses on-site but can also provide contracted classes to business and industry in the district.

The training center serves as the principal resource for information, support and quality control for more than 400 aligned instructors. Aligned instructors are allowed to teach in NICC facilities, and all course paperwork is submitted to the training center for the course completion card issuance. The training center also communicates all updated information from the AHA to their aligned instructors.

For more information about AHA Emergency Cardiovascular Care courses or to become an AHA instructor, please contact the NICC training center at 563.557.8271, ext. 327.
