Community Initiatives

Northeast Iowa Community College campuses have implemented community initiatives supporting education for students and the surrounding communities. This includes sustainability initiatives such as the Outdoor Learning Lab on the Peosta campus and sustainable prairie on the Calmar campus, various events and conferences each year for the general public and camps that are offered each summer.

Additionally, the College provides health and wellness services for the community, offering students in a variety of programs the opportunity to gain first-hand experience outside the classroom. Students are also encouraged to investigate study abroad opportunities, some of which are open to the public, to broaden their college experience.
