NICC Centers

Northeast Iowa Community College’s commitment to communities throughout northeast Iowa has produced six regional centers located in Cresco, Dubuque, Manchester, Oelwein (RAMS) and Waukon. The College also maintains centers for professional development and conferences in Dubuque at the Town Clock Business Center and in Calmar at the Wilder Business Center as well as a presence in New Hampton at the New Hampton Economic Development Center.

Each NICC center provides educational opportunities and services to students interested in taking classes close to home. Services provided at the centers include:

  • Economic development
  • Workforce development
  • Day and evening credit and non-credit classes
  • Professional development classes
  • Preparation for high school equivalency diploma (HSED) testing
  • English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes
  • Adult Literacy and Education programs
  • Programs designed for adult learners returning to college
  • Admissions information
  • Course registration for any of the NICC sites and campuses
  • Placement testing
  • Intake advising

In 2012, NICC piloted the Student Success Center model at the Dubuque and Oelwein centers to augment the College’s outreach capability and build upon the individualized services for students at centers in all locations.
