Description:

The companion animal industry continuse to be a strong economic force in U.S. agriculture. This program teaches the skills required for jobs in the companion animal industry.

Program students can expect to immediately enter into the workforce after completion of their two-year degree or they may transfer with junior status to a four-year college to pursue a B.S. degree. 

Career options for graduates include:

  • Transfer to four-year colleges for B. S. degree completion
  • Management position at an animal-based business
  • Industry jobs with AI firms or local producer-owned cooperatives
  • Health-related positions working with/at varied animal health industries
  • Starting one's own animal-related business

Admissions Requirements:

  • Submission of your official high school transcript with ACT score.
  • Submission of transcript from any college or university previously attended.
  • Completion of ACCUPLACER assessment if necessary.
