NICC counseling intern Yarrow Pasche will offer a 4-6 week mindfulness program starting August 31st. Mindfulness is the natural human ability to be fully present and aware in a nonjudgmental way. Mindfulness has been found to decrease stress and negative mood states while increasing psychological well-being and ability to focus. Each session will explore the benefits of mindfulness and lead participants through a series of mindfulness techniques and activities. Recommendations for ways to incorporate mindfulness into daily life will also be suggested.
Sessions are 30 minutes, Mondays at 12:30 starting on August 31st. Express interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
