TRN-100 is an online tutorial required for all students enrolling in online or hybrid courses. All students are encouraged to complete the TRN-100 tutorial, as many instructors use the courseroom functions within on-campus classes. The tutorial is always available and can be completed and accessed at any time after acceptance to the College. The TRN-100 tutorial contains an embedded quiz that is a one-time requirement prior to or soon after course registration.
To use a computer at any campus or center, students must log in to the College computer network. By logging in, you agree to abide by the NICC Computer Systems Acceptable Use Policy.

To save a document while using an NICC computer, use a flash drive or upload the file to your Xpress account by selecting MyNICC > Personal Tools > My Files.
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available on both campuses and all centers.
Computer labs are available for student use on both campuses and at several centers. Lab hours vary; check accessibility posted outside the computer labs. All labs have printers available. Students are strongly encouraged to consider the impact on the environment before printing lengthy documents. The printers are to be used for college-related materials only and not personal printing projects.
Every spring semester, the NICC PC Clinic class on both Peosta and Calmar campuses invite students to let them troubleshoot PC problems. The PC Clinic can solve a variety of computer issues for free including hardware and software issues, virus removal, PC maintenance and upgrades.
