In 2006, Northeast Iowa Community College established a crisis fund for students with an immediate crisis that threatens their ability to attend class or progress in their coursework. Once a year, events are held on each campus to raise funds to sustain the crisis fund. To date, more than $60,000 has been raised to serve 185 students.
Students may be eligible if they have crisis that is affecting their ability to attend school and to progress in their coursework. Students can apply for assistance through the Counseling Office on their respective campus.
