Admissions

We all start somewhere, and it’s no wonder so many choose Northeast Iowa Community College. More than 95 percent of our students are either employed or continuing their education six months after graduation – that says a lot about the success of our students and the quality of a NICC education.

These awards are one and two-year degrees that prepare you to enter the workforce quickly:

  • Associate of Applied Science
  • Diploma
  • Certificate
  • Career Pathway Certificate (CPC)

The Associate of Arts and Associate of Science awards are equivalent to the first two-years of a bachelor's degree program and are designed to transfer to a four-year institution. Consider this the smart path to a bachelor's degree.

Student Veterans

NICC has been recognized as a Military Friendly School and a Top School in the 2015 Military Advanced Education (MAE) Guide to Colleges and Universities. Veterans, their spouses and their dependents may be eligible for education benefits while enrolled in an approved program at the College.

International Students

International students from around the world are welcome at NICC. The admissions staff works closely with international students to ensure the admissions process is timely and efficient. Learn more about enrolling as an international student.

Adult Education and Literacy

NICC provides services for students to obtain a degree or diploma at the high school or secondary level, basic skill instruction, language development and other services for community members of all ages throughout northeast Iowa.
