Northeast Iowa Community College Trustees approve bid for Max Clark Hall renovations

CALMAR, Iowa—The Northeast Iowa Community College Board of Trustees approved the recommended bid for Max Clark Hall renovations at the Calmar campus.

The College received bids on Feb. 24 and the Board of Trustees approved Cresco Building Service, Inc. as the general contractor on March 1, 2021. Total construction costs of the project will be $6,024,695. Renovations begin this month.

Max Clark Hall, built in 1971, houses general education, health, computer and business courses. Included in the project will be an updated entrance, classrooms, offices, restrooms and a six-bed nursing student training lab with additional classrooms for health programming.

The project is funded by the $39 million bond levy approved by district voters in September 2018.
