Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation

The Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation is committed to ensuring excellence in education and enhancing academic programs and activities of NICC through charitable giving.

Established more than 30 years ago as an external 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation began with a fundraiser to purchase a dairy herd for the newly established dairy program on the Calmar campus. From its start in 1981 through today, the Foundation continues its charitable education mission by providing financial support for College activities beyond those supported by taxes and student tuition.

Foundation Mission

The Foundation promotes the ongoing success of its students by providing external resources that support and expand educational opportunities.

Foundation Vision

Foundation activities are focused on building assets for strategic initiatives and helping to ensure the future of the College. By expanding funding sources, the Foundation helps build the College's capacity for educational excellence. The funds raised are used to:

  • support student access and success
  • enhance teaching excellence and innovation
  • support continued faculty and staff development
  • build instructional and institutional resources and technology
  • support infrastructure expansion
  • promote expanded cultural and diversity offerings
